象牙と鼈甲の楊枝入れ

楊枝入れを紹介します。
1830年のイギリス製で鼈甲製ですが、象牙と銀の象嵌が施された楊枝入れです。華麗な銀のデザインと象牙のストライプと大変贅沢です。
もう一つは1790年イギリス製で象牙製です。表面が丸い金のデザインで埋め尽くされています。中の楊枝も象牙製です。
いつも感じることですが、注文された貴族の思いとその思いを忠実に、しかも細部にまでこだわった職人の心意気を感じます。
ここまで綺麗に作られると、使う方も大切にしたくなると思います。
残された遺族もきっと大切に使ったに違いありません。よいものは時を超えて訴え続けます。


This time I want to introduce rare toothpick cases.
One is made in England in1830 and made of tortoises-shell inrayed by ivory and sillver. The surface is designed by silver inray and ivory stripe. its very gorgeous.
Another one is made in England and made of ivory. The cover is full of gold ring. Inside of case ivory toothpick are prepared When I look nice decorated case,
I always feel the idea of the noble who ordered it and the strong intention of craftman who adhered the details of design.
The owener must use it with tender careness.
The lovely items protest its beauty forever.
